Quality testing is essential for creating sustainable designs and furniture that is safe to use. EFG’s furniture is of high quality and should be safe for both the environment and people. Consequently, the products undergo regular quality testing in EFG’s testing laboratory.
Quality testing – a guarantee of high quality, safety and sustainability
Quality testing is a cornerstone in EFG’s sustainability work, as it ensures the high quality, safety and sustainability of our products. The tests also makes it possible for us to offer the industry’s best guarantee terms and conditions.
We conduct regular tests to complement the standard methods. The products are tested for their ability to withstand day-to-day use and hard wear. We carry out hundreds of tests every year, where each product is tested in up to 20 factors such as safety, strength, function and ergonomics. EFG’s seating is tested for e.g. impact and pressure on the seat and backrest, the load on armrests and the seat’s ability to withstand tipping over onto the floor.
We also use our own test laboratory in our product development, where we test various materials and design solutions to make sure we continue making products of the highest possible quality. We use external laboratories for specific tests concerning e.g. fire safety in padded furniture, lacquered surface resistance and acoustic testing of sound absorbers.
